Inflammation: The reason you’re so unmotivated and lethargic?

By July 1, 2019October 14th, 2019Uncategorized

Are you a “regular person”?

If you’re a regular person, and by “regular person” we mean those that exercise every once in a while.

You’re diet is okay, nothing special or strict but you eat healthy the majority of your meals.

You’re not overly concerned with your health but do believe there is much room left for improvement.

Some days you feel rather laissez-faire, some days even lethargic after a long weekend or a Friday night out.

Maybe you’re thinking to yourself “Everyone feels like this, at least sometimes. It’s totally normal.”

Well, what if I told you it wasn’t normal?

What if I told you there is one thing holding you back from an overflowing abundance of energy?

This thing is also one of the reasons your joints could be aching,

The reason you’re constantly foggy, even short of breath.

This “leech” that is taking a huge toll on your health and life?

Inflammation.

Inflammation isn’t just new age, hippie “mumbo jumbo”.

There have been numerous reports detailing the negative effects inflammation can have on your life.

Researchers at Emory University provides us with some insight into the mind-body connection.

Inflammation triggers a series or protective neurological events.

These events “force” you to conserve energy by making you feel tired, lethargic, and unmotivated.

This may have been a bodily function that helped our ancestors survive, but in today’s world where a lion isn’t around the corner trying to eat you, it serves no purpose.

I think it’s safe to say the majority of us would greatly benefit from more energy.

Inflammation doesn’t just affect your motivation, it affects the way your body experiences pain.

Basic knee pain, arthritis, lower back pain, and joint pain specifically is affected by inflammation.

If you’re experiencing more of it than you normally do, this could very well be a solution to easing the pain.

We’re not saying at all that this is the “cure all” to your pain, but we are saying it’s a place to start.

So how do we deal with inflammation?

The easiest place is in your diet.

Adding (or taking out) certain foods in your diet can be an absolute game changer if consistently taken.

A fantastic “hit the ground running” resource on inflammation conquering foods is this Healthline article.

Not only foods can combat your inflammation, certain supplements are fantastic, as well as being more active in your day to day life.

Feeling like your drive has been sapped?

Your motivation is missing when you know you should be getting work done?

Just don’t want to get out of bed some mornings?

The problem very well could be inflammation.

Take stock of your life and see if this could be the answer for you.
