From time to time we like to take a break from our regularly scheduled stem cell programming and highlight some of our patients success stories.
In one of our old blog posts we let you in on the fantastic results Glen had after just 6 weeks of treatment.
His is an absolutely amazing success story, but we wanted to share another story of our patient Larry.
His results weren’t as sudden as Glen’s and he saw them fully after about 3 months of treatment.
A long time for some, but nothing to scoff at considering the time it takes a knee replacement surgery to heal.
Larry is an older gentleman, and before his procedure he had a host of symptoms leading up to the treatment.
He had an arthritic left knee and was experiencing pain severe enough that it was inhibiting his ability to sleep.
There was fluid building up behind his knee as well as a cyst.
Larry consistently felt unstable while walking,
Running was out of the picture and sudden movements would cause the knee to buckle and him to collapse.
And to top it off, if Larry tried to exercise it would exacerbate these symptoms and cause more swelling and inflammation.
Safe to say, Larry experienced it all.
But, hope was on the horizon.
The only option he was given was a left knee replacement. Realizing how far technology had come he decided to do some digging.
A physical therapist recommended stem cell treatments to him.
After doing his own research and talking to some people, Larry went for it.
3 months later, Larry’s results were incredible.
He is now at a point where there is no inflammation or swelling when he exercises.
And how often does this “old timer” exercise?
Four times a week.
That’s right, more than most Americans today!
The sensation and pain in his knee is now gone and he’s able to get a good night’s sleep.
Soreness does occur from time to time but as Larry says himself “It’s minimal”.
Being EXTREMELY satisfied with his results, this is what Larry had to say.
“It went above and beyond my expectations of what could be achieved in such a short amount of time.”
As we’ve mentioned above, results and the time it takes to see results can vary greatly.
Some patients like Glen see results in as soon as six weeks, others like Larry may take three months.
Each patients case is special and that’s why we treat them on a case by case basis.
Not with a “cure all” approach.
